Overview

ArtPrize

ArtPrize 2009 was a huge success, not only did the number of entries and venues exceed the original projections but so did the number of people who experienced it. Over 36,000 registered voters helped determine the winners.

Art has found a new place in the conversation in Grand Rapids. Questions like what is art, which entry did you most enjoy, and what most surprised you are being asked all over town by people of all ages. Excitement and anticipation are already building for year two, set for September 22 – October 10, 2010.

Congratulations to all of the arts who entered. Special thanks to the community for opening its arms for this new experience. Check out www.artprize.org for information on this year’s winners and next year’s competition.
