Media Coverage

The Convention Bureau maintains excellent relationships with local media outlets, and we will work on your behalf to publicize your event, your organization and your mission. We can also provide you with a list of local media for your own press announcements.

One of the top 40 media markets in the country, the greater Grand Rapids area is home to four broadcast television stations. Three of the TV studios are located within the city limits, just minutes from DeVos Place convention center – a popular backdrop for location stories.

Our local newspaper, the Grand Rapids Press, is headquartered just around the corner from the convention center. The Press has a peak circulation of just under 200,000. You should also expect interest from the local business press, which includes the Grand Rapids Business Journal and MI Biz West.

Many of the nearly 40 radio stations serving West Michigan boast their own newsgathering staffs along with thousands of listeners hungry for community news...like the arrival of your group in town.
