There are thousands of reasons to visit Grand Rapids and Michigan’s West Coast. Here are a few of our favorites for this winter.

1. New Year's Eve on the Grand 2010

Countdown to New years 2010 has begun! The free event which is open to all ages will again feature a live concert and ball drop at midnight.  The headliners that will be performing are as follows: Uncle Kracker will kick off the evening followed by Boys Like Girls for the Bud Light Happy Hour. The giant ball will definitely be making a return appearance.  Mark your calendars for New Year’s on the Grand 2010 at Rosa Parks Circle.

2. Winter Activities

Come enjoy all that the winter has to offer in West Michigan! Start with ice skating under the stars at Rosa Parks Circle, snowmobiling through the trails of Michigan, skiing and snowboarding, and even try out the Muskegon luge!

3. Extravagant Exhibits

Enjoy the many fun and exciting exhibits that Grand Rapids Museums have to offer. Check out the Grand Rapids Art Museum to see the brilliant presentation of the Calder Jewelry, visit the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum to see the American and Cold War exhibit, and see all of Leonardo da Vinci’s Machines in Motionat the Grand Rapids Public Museum.

4. Grand Rapids Griffins

Take advantage of live music by two of Grand Rapidsmost renowned performers. The Opera Grand Rapids presents Pagliacci and the Grand Rapids Symphony Pops Series will feature Ann Hampton Callaway as she sings The American Songbook.

Celebrate the Centennial 1910 – 2010 and progress through the decades with special Friday Nights at the Grand Rapids Art Museum now through April 2010 with music, art dialogue, dinner and drinks, social games and galleries open late.
